Target Fresh: Elevating Everyday Shopping into a Culinary Adventure

Upon being accepted into the OutForUndergrad (O4U) program, I was presented with an invigorating challenge: to meld familiar elements into a novel concept. As someone who is always at Target, my countless wanderings down its aisles often transformed into culinary quests. With a common theme each time I visited, "What's for lunch?" or "What sounds good for dinner?" echoing in my mind. It was during one of the lost times that a brilliant idea sparked — introducing, Target Fresh.

Picture this: Target’s signature ambiance, heightened with a symphony of fresh produce, aromas of curated meals being prepared, delighting the curious, and inspiring every home chef. This isn’t just shopping — this is an expedition into the very heart of culinary creativity. Welcome to Target Fresh.

After completion, I am excited with what I came up with. The most challenging part of this project was staying within brand guidelines whilst adding a new twist to the iconic brand. On the other hand I would have to say the best part, and the part that taught me a lot, was the research and the deep dive into demographics and shopper’s behavior to see which iconic grocer would best simulate what some mail-food subscriptions are doing, just making it more fresher and creating a better twist on the program.
